Events You MUST Attend on Lake Lanier
There’s no shortage of activities and fun events on Lake Lanier! The only problem you might have is choosing how to spend your time there! From brunch cruises to live music at Lake Lanier Islands, you are sure to never be bored!
Here are some of the major holiday, must attend events on the lake:
July 4 - While there are many different July 4th activities to choose from in the area, perhaps the largest is Light Up the Lake Fireworks Independence Day Celebration hosted by Lake Lanier Islands. There’s live entertainment and tons of family fun all day long, ending with a giant fireworks display over the lake.
OctoberFest at the Arts Council - September 30, 2023 - Enjoy live music, a biergarten, food trucks, and family activities at this OctoberFest! It’s a great way to ring in the fall!
Hoschton Fall Festival - This is a 3-day fall festival that runs October 6-8, with live music, delicious food, and fun games for the family.
Christmas Wishes Holiday Festival and Lantern Parade- If you’re looking for some Holiday cheer, visit this fun holiday festival! There will be a Christmas tree lighting, lantern parade, holiday market, Santa Claus, and food trucks!
The Polar Bear Swim: New Year’s Day -The Polar Bear Swim is held on New Year’s Day by the Lake Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club as an annual fundraiser. Jumpers compete for a variety of prizes as they plunge into the freezing cold water!
